Qatar to invest in Moscow property

Investment company Qatari Diar plans to make a large investment in the Moscow property market. Its subsidiary, The First Investor (TFI), will complete putting together a joint property investment fund with Russia’s Gazprombank by October 2010; up until now, the partners have contributed $510mn each. The partners will buy property in Moscow, expecting an annual yield of 20%-25%. Qatar Diar is a holding company owned by Qatar Investment Authority, a state investment fund; it implements projects worth $60bn in 35 countries.
