Moscow Mayor may leave before his term expires

Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov may leave his post before his term of service expires.
Dmitry Orlov, the founder and director of the Agency for Political and Economic Communications (APECOM), said there could be four scenarios for his departure: a no-confidence vote at the Moscow City Duma initiated by President Dmitry Medvedev or the United Russia party in parliament, expiry of his term in 2011, early retirement, or transfer to another job.
It is rumoured that Luzhkov may be appointed head of the Olympic construction project in Sochi.
These conclusions are suggested in the report “Change of Power in Moscow: Factors and Scenarios” compiled on the basis of the author’s meetings with Moscow officials.
