Investment company Qatari Diar plans to make a large investment in the Moscow property market. Its subsidiary, The First Investor (TFI), will complete putting together a joint property investment fund with Russia’s Gazprombank by October 2010; up until now, the partners have contributed $510mn each.

Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov may leave his post before his term of service expires.
Dmitry Orlov, the founder and director of the Agency for Political and Economic Communications (APECOM), said there could be four scenarios for his departure: a no-confidence vote at the Moscow City Duma initiated by President Dmitry Medvedev or the United Russia party in parliament, expiry of his term in 2011, early retirement, or transfer to another job.
